With the long-days being put in building my video-library, selecting and arranging music, recording voice & breath, recording sessions inside and out, and finally editing it all together - its TOOO easy to forget about your own practice, and therefore the reason you got into all of this in the first place.

2 days ago I technically missed my first day in over 4 years of actually sitting down for my own 15 min Hypoxic breathwork & meditation session (although I was breathing ALOT recording lol) - and while thats a first world problem to have I know - it was still a powerful reminder of the job at hand.

After all, how can I call myself a Yoga and Breathwork "Teacher" - if I don't have deep knowledge and understanding of the practice from lived experience??

Thats like trying to learn guitar from someone who knows all the theory but has never picked the instrument up.

Today - it was an hours Vinyasa, for the first time in 4 days, with Mantra guided meditation to finish. Then of course, hypoxic breathwork 🙂

Now everything is back in order - ahhhhhhhh

Sufi breathing as a title is more an umbrella term for all of the ancient Sufism breathing practices dating back 1400 years. There are many, mostly involving mantras dedicated to Allah, or God.

However as a single technique, Sufi Breathing refers to the 2 short and 1 longer shallow mouth breathing with movement.

Sound confusing? Let me explain and demonstrate :)
